Yearbook E-DaysE-Day #1 (01/06/14)All e-day work is due by 01/21/14.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ If you are able to work on pages: continue to work on your assigned pages and spreads. BEFORE & AFTER WORKING: Save your pages and/or spread(s) as a PDF or JPEG file before you begin work and after you have finished. This way, I am able to see what you've worked on. Email me both of those files (before you've worked and after you've worked). Be thinking about what you're going to add to your winter sports pages, as well as your class and club pages. If you aren't able to access the website, start coming up with questions and module ideas for your winter pages. Nothing is due for today's E-Day, but we will be cracking down on our winter pages once school resumes. EVERYONE will be expected to work on pages starting the first day we're back in class. Your yearbook website can be found here: www.yearbookavenue.jostens.com Your username is: your first and last name, with no spaces (amandasudhoff) Your password is: yearbook14 |
E-Day #2: (01/07/14)All e-day work is due by 01/21/14.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Sketch Scavenger Hunt: You will use a sketchbook or plain computer paper for this assignment. Your paper should be no smaller than a sheet of regular computer paper (8 1/2" x 11"). No notebook paper or other types of lined paper will be accepted. Part One: Divide you paper into 9 sections. In each section, draw an object from a room in your house.(Examples: in the kitchen draw a slotted spoon, napkin ring or can-opener. In the living room, draw a lamp or a figurine, knick-Knack or flower arrangement. In the bathroom, draw a toothbrush, hairbrush, or soap. In the garage, draw a hammer, power saw or shovel. In the bedroom, draw a video game, bottle of fingernail polish, jewelry, shoes, your cell phone, etc. In the laundry room, draw soap, buttons, dryer sheets, buckets. In the basement, you could draw canning jars, a television or games.) These will be small. These drawings are known as thumbnail drawings. Part Two: Choose the drawing that shows rhythm and redraw it on a larger sheet of plain paper. Add color using the drawing techniques and value scales we have talked about this year. I would like to see you use colored pencils for the larger-scale portion of this assignment. Your finished work and the thumbnails should be turned in within two weeks. |
